Purpose:
To provide training for deacons and pastors in the biblical principles and methods of meeting the needs of people through the church ministry. These principles will lead to greater church harmony and growth. Pastors and deacons will learn to excitedly serve God together in areas that matter to God.

Who:
This training will be very helpful for deacons, potential deacons, church officers, leaders, and pastors.

Contents:

Session #1 - The Mandate for Caring Ministries in the Church
God's plan for a caring ministry is outlined and discussed from Scripture. Small group Bible study is employed in determining the meaning of the word "deacon" and the role of one who holds the office.

Session #2 - The Methods and Means for a Caring Ministry
Special procedures and programs are described that enable deacons and church leaders to develop and carry out a biblical ministry in the congregation. The Deacon Caring Ministry Notebook plan will be shared.

Session #3 - A Biblical Decision-Making Model
A workable church decision-making model that is built upon godly trust and teamwork is suggested and described. When this model is utilized, the deacon is able to spend time and energy applying the biblical principles of deaconing.

Session #4 - Being a Man of Influence
Biblical principles for influencing others for God as a deacon will be presented. The suggestions given will help us be a man of influence with family, friends, and those to whom we minister. Ten principles are provided that any man can utilize to strengthen his ministry of mentoring others for God.
